Girton College

Established in 1869 as the first residential College for women, Girton occupies spacious grounds about two and a half miles northwest of the centre of Cambridge. It became mixed in 1977 with the arrival of the first male Fellows and male undergraduates have been admitted since 1979.

Girton College use Invest Solutions Limited's Alumni Who's Who software to maintain contact with their members and fellows after their time in college. The college inform alumni of forthcoming events using the calendar module and publish news articles summarising recent events on the site. The server runs on Windows and uses a Win32 PostgreSQL database under cygwin. Data are periodically synchronised with The Raiser's Edge.
