Invest Solutions' centrally managed physical access control equipment is a Mifare/MAD compliant contactless card solution
to requirements for physical access control. A contactless card reader located near the doorway connects to controller equipment
that drives a physical door strike mechanism. Backhauled over RS485 and/or ethernet, the individual doors form a managed
suite with intrusion detection, integration with fire safety systems, and organisation-wide auditing facilities. User identification
information is stored in a database system and all communication is strongly encrypted and protected against message capture
and relay attacks. The system is suited both to indoor and ruggedised IP65 outdoor installations.
Sophisticated control software allows users to manage the access rules for their buildings and monitor door lock activity
in realtime. Role-based access control rules minimise the administrative effort required to deploy and maintain the system.
A SQL database is used to store the rules and provides easy integration with customers' record-keeping systems and automatic
bulk record management. Rules can be parameterised on time-of-day, day-of-week, building status, current locations of personnel,
and emergency conditions. Logging, reporting, and alarm modules are included as standard.
